The Expropriation Act was signed into law last year. But the lawfulness of that is being challenged by the Democratic Alliance, Afriforum and the Vaderland Stigting in the Western Cape High Court. It’s one of the legal challenges the DA said it would not drop despite joining the GNU. The matter is being heard by a full bench of three judges and is expected to run over five days.
