On Monday, KwaZulu-Natal premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube visited the battered uMtubatuba Municipality to assess damages and convey condolences to families of the deceased. Four people died and at least 70 houses were destroyed following heavy rain over the weekend. Disaster management teams from the Red Cross Society are also on the ground to provide relief for the affected communities.
