Julius Malema’s fate now lies squarely in the hands of Magistrate Twanet Olivier. She’s expected to begin sentencing proceedings on Thursday, after the defence and state presented their final heads of argument during pre-sentencing proceedings in the firearms discharge trial. In October last year, Malema was found guilty on five charges relating to the Firearms Control Act. He’d fired shots in front of a build-up area, during the Economic Freedom Fighters’ fifth birthday celebrations in July 2018. eNCA’s Ronald Masinda has the latest. Courtesy #DStv403
