The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Free State says it is confident that it has a watertight case against Facebook rapist and convicted murderer Thabo Bester. Bester appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court earlier today, where his case was postponed to the 16th of May. He is facing a string of charges including escaping from lawful custody, defeating the ends of justice, violation of a dead body and fraud. Bester, together with his girlfriend Dr Nandipha Magudumana returned to South Africa yesterday morning, after their arrest in Arusha, Tanzania, last Friday.
