Higher Easter road deaths attributed to more travellers after lifting of COVID restrictions

Two-hundred and 25 people died on the roads over Easter weekend, compared to 161 death over the same period last year. The Transport Ministry has attributed this to higher traffic volumes after the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions. Transport Minister, Sindisiwe Chikunga, revealed the final statistics in Midrand.
