Seventy-one victims of KZN's floods still missing

Some of the surviving family members who suffered devastating losses in last year’s deadly floods in KwaZulu-Natal, still feel government did not exhaust all possibilities to recover the bodies of their loved ones.

Many families are yet to find the bodies of their loved ones while others are still waiting for DNA test results to confirm identification.

Seventy-one victims of the floods are still missing, a year after the disaster.

455 people were killed during the floods and the damage to infrastructure was estimated at R25 billion.
