Learners unable to attend school in Khayelitsha and surrounding areas: Nceba Enge

Desperate parents of children in and around Khayelitsha, who’ve been prevented from going to school, are calling on authorities to urgently intervene. Over four-thousand learners in Khayelitsha, Mfuleni and Delft have been stranded at home after a local taxi association blocked scholar transport. The Cape Organisation for the Democratic Taxi Association says it will not allow the official scholar bus transport to operate, until the provincial education department meets its demands.
