The trial in the battle of the rightful leader of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church is expected to continue at the High Court in Pretoria today.
This follows delays yesterday. One of the sons of church leader Glayton Modise brought an application for the presiding judge in the matter to recuse herself. Leonard Modise argued that Judge Portia Mphahlele cannot preside over the leadership battle at the church as she managed the case.
The church has been plagued by conflict for years with divisions beginning after the death of the church’s leader Glayton Modise in 2016.
