
Centre for Independent Studies’ Simon Cowan says given that this is a mini-budget tonight it seems to be an attempt by the Labor government to “reset some of the economic narratives” that we saw in the March budget.
“So, I think rather than your usual expectation from a budget that you will see a lot of movement by the government,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“I think a lot of what’s going to come out of tonight’s budgets will be that narrative about the economy being substantially different than it was in March.”
