Australian British Chamber of Commerce CEO David McCredie says there’s “a lot of work” for the government to do in the UK on the economic front but currently it’s “not really in a position” to do anything.
“The economic situation of many countries around the world is very challenging, obviously at the moment and that’s no exception in the UK,” Mr McCredie told Sky News Australia.
“Obviously the war in the Ukraine which has really driven up energy prices significantly across Europe but in the UK in particular.
“I’m sure plenty will happen to try and redirect the course once parliament gets back to its normal business after the mourning period.”
