
Faction fighting at Arthur Mfebe Senior Secondary School, at Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape has led to the death of a Grade 8 learner, while another has been critically injured. Learners from the villages of Mthonjeni, Maya, Othayi and St Marks have been involved in faction fighting for the past few months.
It is believed that clashes sometimes erupt inside the classroom while teaching and learning are taking place.
