'They should be allowed to stay': Scottish family deportation 'open and shut case'

Sky News host Chris Kenny says Mark Green and his family were to be “deported last night” after being on a bridging visa and arriving in Australia ten years ago to fill labour shortages.

“It was only last week that the Albanese government granted the Nadesalingam family from Biloela permanent residency … despite both parents coming to Australia illegally,” he said.

“To me, this is an open and shut case – a hard-working bloke and his family who came here legally, who’s never sought or received any assistance from the taxpayer should be allowed to stay permanently.”

Mr Kenny discussed the issue with Mr Green.
