A 50-year-old man will appear in the Groblersdal Magistrates’ court in connection with the alleged assault of a 16-year-old boy in Groblersdal in Limpopo. Police say the incident occurred at a restaurant after the teenager had wanted to use the same salt as the suspect. According to police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo, an argument broke out between the victim, his cousin and the suspect, who then produced a firearm and assaulted the victim in full view of onlookers. Mojapelo says the suspect allegedly assaulted the boy and left him on the ground. SABC News reporter Mahlako Komane gives us a live update..
