Suspended ANC Secretary-General, Ace Magashule, says the fraud and corruption case against him was fabricated to tarnish his political career.
Magashule, ten others and five companies are expected to appear in the High Court in Bloemfontein on Friday for a pre-trial hearing. The charges against them relate to the alleged irregular awarding of the R255-million asbestos roof removal tender in the Free State in October 2014. In March, the High Court in Bloemfontein dismissed his application and three others and Blackhead Consulting, to have charges against them dropped.
Magashule has since appealed the matter.
