A convicted baby killer has been sentenced to life in the Western Cape High Court. Vusumzi Phothelwa was convicted of setting his 8-month-old daughter, Khwezi, alight. Judge Constance Nziweni said he killed the child out of spite and showed no remorse. She dismissed arguments he acted while under the influence of alcohol, saying the murder was premeditated.
