Abner Tsebe has been elected as the new President of the South African National Taxi Council- Santaco. Tsebe was nominated unopposed and duly elected during Santaco’s sixth national conference in Sun City in the North West. Our reporter Sentleeng Lehihi spoke to the outgoing chairperson Phillip Taaibosch says an Intelligent transport system called Street Governor is being developed to enable the taxi industry to, among others, extract information on taxi operations, route conflicts and how they can be prevented.
