United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres has highlighted the concerning impacts of the war in Ukraine on the first leg of his visit to West Africa.
Guterres is on a Ramadan solidarity visit to West Africa and made his first of three stops in Dakar, Senegal, where he met President and current African Union Chairperson Macky Sall.
The UN Chief again pointed to how the war was aggravating a triple crisis in food, energy and financial security in many vulnerable regions on the African continent.
