OUTA on the Karpowership deal: Wayne Duvenage

Environmental group Green Connection has approached the courts to have energy regulator NERSA’s decision to award three generating licences to controversial Turkish company Karpowership, set aside. It approved the licences for Karpowership at Saldanha Bay, Coega and Richards Bay.
NERSA had granted the three licences for the floating powerships and four others in September last year – without releasing the full reasons behind their decision. Green Connection filed their papers in the Pretoria High Court, to have NERSA’s decision reviewed. To talk more about this we are now joined by Wayne Duvenage from the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse, OUTA.
