At least 8 young men have died since the start of the winter initiation season in Mpumalanga. The men reportedly developed complications after traditional circumcision procedures at initiation schools. CONTRALESA says the law must take its course, if the initiation schools are found to have been negligent in the death of these initiates. Police are investigating the incidents.
