The ANC Eastern Cape Elective Conference set for the 6 - 8 May

The ANC has put out a directive that the Eastern Cape Elective Conference, which was due to be held this week-end, must take place within the next seven days, starting no later than the 28th of April to the 1st of May. The mother body commended the Eastern Cape provincial task team for the progress it has made in holding branch general meetings and regional conferences as it prepares for its ninth provincial conference. The postponement was made as the national dispute resolution committee is still dealing with several disputes. The leadership race in the province is heading for a three way contest with incumbent, Oscar Mabuyane, likely to be challenged by Babalo Madikizela and Mlibo Qoboshiyane.
