The South African government has announced an end to COVID-19 restrictions with effect from midnight tonight. President Cyril Ramaphosa made the announcement in the capital Pretoria a short while ago.
He says the country has been recording a steady decline in both new infections and COVID-19 related deaths. But has cautioned citizens to remain vigilant as the pandemic is very unpredictable.
