Shumeez Scott Foundation seeks to expand its reach as world celebrates Down Syndrome Day

While South Africa observes Human Rights Day, today is also World Down Syndrome Day. At Mitchells Plain in Cape Town, a determined mother and daughter duo started a foundation four years ago. This to break the stigma around Down Syndrome and to give young adults leaving school a sense of purpose, skills and hope. The Shumeez Scott Foundation wants to expand its reach from it’s humble beginnings to reach and educate as many people as possible.
