South African President Cyril Ramaphosa says he has again spoken to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, and expressed the need for the conflict in Ukraine to be subjected to mediation. President Ramaphosa says he is pleased with the conversation they’ve had, and says Putin is agreeable to the idea. Dirk Kotzé is a Professor in Political Sciences at the University of South Africa.
