Chiefs coach Baxter under pressure to perform

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has to start delivering if he wants to keep his job as Amakhosi coach. Chiefs have not won a trophy in six years. The trophy drought is set to continue for a seventh year after the Soweto glamour club was knocked out of the Nedbank Cup in the first round for a second successive season. Baxter was the last coach to lift a trophy with Chiefs back in 2015. Amakhosi are currently fifth on the DSTV Premiership log with 29 points, and it looks unlikely that they’ll be able to topple current log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who have a massive 19 point lead.
Chiefs travel to Polokwane this weekend to face the struggling Baroka FC on Saturday evening.
