Ukraine-Russia | Britain sanctions five Russian banks and three Putin associates

Britain has slapped sanctions on five Russian banks and three of President Vladimir Putin’s close associates. This was after President Putin ordered the deployment of troops to two breakaway regions in eastern Ukraine. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says the Kremlin is laying the ground for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and that the world should now brace for the next stage of his plan. Johnson told parliament that five banks have been sanctioned, along with the three people.
