The Palestinian Authority has called for the formation of an international commission to investigate the alleged massacres committed by Israel in the Palestinian Tantura village in 1948. The call came after reports in Israeli about the discovery of a mass grave in the village. It is believed the grave contain remains of Palestinians killed by armed Israeli gangs when the modern state of Israel was formed. University of Johannesburg Professor Farid Esak, is a board member of the lobby group, Africa4Palestine.
