The eNCA/MarkData survey asked Ekurhuleni respondents why they believed hostility towards foreign nationals existed in their communities. The responses reveal troubling perceptions of public frustration and declining faith in government. But they also raise an important distinction between understanding attitudes and accepting the actions those attitudes might be used to justify. Wayne Sussman takes Naledi Moleo through the findings and explains why one response, in particular, raises concerns about vigilantism. #eNCA
