Farmers are financially cornered. Caught between fixed market prices and surging fuel bills, farmers in Delmas, Mpumalanga, say they are being squeezed. Farmer Jan Boshoff says producers have little control over the prices they receive for their products, while higher input costs are tightening their margins. Some are being forced to make difficult decisions, including cutting jobs.
