R216m cocaine case | Accused says confession was forced

The man accused of stealing 541kg of cocaine worth about R216-million in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal, is back in court for his bail application. Businessman Lucas Legabe is due to appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. He was arrested in Pretoria last month. The cocaine allegedly disappeared from the KwaZulu-Natal Hawks’ offices in November 2021 — a case that has since come under scrutiny at the Madlanga Commission. #dstv403
