It took 17 years, but the idea man behind Vodacom’s Please Call Me service has finally received his pay and based on the company’s results today, it’s to the tune of R700 million. This has finally brought an end to the Please call me legal saga. Vodacom and the inventor of the service, its former employee Nkosana Makate, have reached a landmark out-of-court agreement.
