KwaZulu-Natal authorities are on high alert with warnings of severe weather. The SA Weather Service is predicting above-average rainfall in the summer, significantly increasing the risk of widespread flooding. A Level 4 weather warning is already in place in parts of the province this week, with the threat of thunderstorms, strong winds, and torrential downpours. As eNCA’s Siphamandla Goge reports, these conditions, which have historically led to loss of life and extensive damage to infrastructure and property, are expected to be common in the coming months.
