
Last year, residents complained about the lack of service delivery in the Makana Local Municipality, appealing to the Human Rights Commission to intervene. It’s not the first time the Chapter 9 institution has demanded accountability. Two years ago, it released a scathing report about the appalling state of the province’s roads.
