The suspended Tembisa Hospital CEO Ashley Mthunzi has died.
His death was confirmed by his wife on Tuesday. She said he died after a short illness.
Mthunzi was placed under suspension in August 2022 after whistle-blower Babita Deokaran claimed there were irregularities in procurement at the hospital and the payment to suppliers.
Deokaran was killed on 23 August 2021.
