
Five suspects allegedly linked to the killing of the University of Fort Hare employees, have been remanded in custody until the 4th of May for formal bail applications.
The accused are facing murder, attempted murder and illegal possession of firearm charges.
They are allegedly linked to the murder of the vice-chancellor’s bodyguard, Mboneli Vesele and Fleet Manager, Petrus Roets.
The accused made their first appearance at Alice magistrate’s court in the Eastern Cape.
