Emerging livestock farmers at Ficksburg, in the Free State are questioning operations at the town’s animal pound.
This, after many of their rescued stray animals, were sold without proper procedures being followed.
The farmers claim the animal pound master has been contravening the Setsoto Municipality’s animal bylaws, by allegedly selling their livestock under the market value, to commercial farmers, among others.
