
The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) has raised concerns over what the union has described as the prevailing worsening state of the country’s healthcare sector. Nehawu is launching a public service delivery campaign in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape calling for the sector to be transformed. The workers have slammed what they call inadequate funding to the health care sector, rampant corruption, under staffing and lack of wages.
