More than '$1.9 billion' needed to fix flood-damaged roads in NSW

The NRMA’s Peter Khoury says that NSW roads will need more than “$1.9 billion” to fix road damage caused by the recent floods.

“We know it’s going to be a huge challenge and it going to require a lot of support from the NSW government and federal government,” he told Sky News Australia.

“Councils as we know, are responsible for … about 80 per cent of the road network in terms of maintaining to a safe standard and none of them right now have the funding sources internally to do that work.”
