Australian universities are calling on the government to provide defence internships and work placements for up to 100,000 international students a year from the nation’s closest strategic partners.
Universities Australia says a review into the government’s defence strategy shows the ADF is in a unique position to take on students in relevant roles across the sector from AUKUS, Five Eyes and Quad nations.
