The Reserve bank expects to have a protracted legal battle in a case involving Steinhoff’s executives. This after it froze the assets of former Steinhoff CEO Markus Jooste for breach of the currency and exchanges act that the bank administers. It has acknowledged that it spent a huge amount of money to get to the bottom of the Steinhoff matter.
