Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews made a significant announcement to dedicate $1 billion to recreating the state electricity commission.
“That $1 billion will go towards creating 4.5 gigawatts of renewable energy projects to try and replicate the current output of Loy Yang A, Victoria’s largest power station,” she said.
“It was just a few weeks ago that AGL announced that power station will close 10 years early.”
