Russian President Vladimir Putin ordering a partial mobilisation is “not going to go very well,” former US ambassador to NATO Kurt Volker says.
“There are protests against it, people trying to flee the country,” Mr Volker told Sky News Australia.
“Even those who are successfully forced into the military service will be poorly motivated, very little training and they don’t have the equipment to give to them.
“They are just going to be cannon fodder thrown into this conflict.”
