Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced University will be free for thousands of nurses and midwives as part of a $270 million boost to the state’s healthcare system.
This announcement will help up to 10,000 nursing students looking to study an undergraduate degree in 2023 and 2024.
Mr Andrews insists this announcement has been many months in the making as the Victorian state battles a healthcare crisis.
