The family of an 18-year-old from Mount Moriah near Phoenix in
KwaZulu-Natal, is demanding justice after a group of men assaulted him in Phoenix at the weekend. Thabiso Nzimande says his attackers asked him what he was doing in the area, and started beating him before he could answer. He has opened a case of assault with police. Phoenix was a hotbed of racial tension during last year’s July unrest. Please be warned, this story contains graphic content.
