Following its disbandment by the ANC, the Women’s League now has a new National Task Team, led by National Convenor Baleka Mbete.
The team includes Bathabile Dlamini, former President of the Women’s League, even though the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court found her guilty of perjury. The NTT has defended her appointment, saying it will focus on the task at hand, making sure that the Women’s League is rebuilt, ahead of the National Elective Conference.
