
Zimbabwe has appointed African Development Bank Group President, Akinwumi Adesina, to serve as the country’s arrears clearance and debt resolution champion among international financial institutions and bilateral creditors. The struggling southern African nation needs help to resolve its debt crisis. Adesina is in Zimbabwe to meet both government and the private sector, to discuss ways to resolve the country’s $13-billion debt.
