Two trucks have been set alight in a protest that started on Sunday night in the uMngeni Municipality. That is from mayor Chris Pappas’s page. Residents are protesting for their power to be switched back on.
They chased away prepaid meter installers. Allegations are that they’d installed electricity illegally and therefore were not paying for it. To talk more about this we are now joined by Umngeni Mayor Christopher Pappas.
