
It has been a year since former President Jacob Zuma was incarcerated and detained at the Estcourt Correctional Centre in KwaZulu-Natal. This followed the Constitutional Court’s decision to send him to prison for contempt of court. The former president had failed to appear before the State Capture Commission of Inquiry, multiple times, after being called to testify by Chairperson, Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. Legal Experts say, that decision by the ConCourt was bound to be taken, to restore the country’s legal authority.
