This past weekend’s murder of two young women at Matshelapata village in Tarlton, near Krugersdorp, has left the community reeling. They have accused the Tarlton Police of failing to serve and protect the community resulting in vigilantism in the area. The community took matters into their hands and killed one of the suspects linked to the murder, while two other suspects later handed themselves in. Senior Reporter Ofentse Setimo spoke to the family of 22-year-old Masabata Phiri whose body was among those discovered by the community on Sunday Morning.
