
Lesotho’s former Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Lesotho Congress for Democracy, Mothejoa Metsing has been arrested in Ladybrand. Metsing’s passport generated heat at Maseru Bridge, warranting the South African Police Service to effect immediate arrest. Metsing’s lawyer says the charges brought by the state are unclear, frivolous and lack substance. The state laid charges of fraud, money laundering and tax evasion against Mothejoa Metsing.
