
Investigations into allegations that President Cyril Ramaphosa violated the Executive Code of Ethics are ongoing, says the office of the public protector. This relates to how he handled a theft on his Phala Phala farm in 2020. Deputy Public Protector, Kholeka Gcaleka, is acting in suspended Public Protecor Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s stead and has acceded to a request from Ramaphosa for an extension to the deadline given to him to provide input on the matter.
